Entorno

Located in the municipality of Santa Margalida, our estate is located 5 minutes from the coastal town of Son Serra de Marina, which has one of the few unspoilt beaches remaining in Mallorca, with fine sand and one of the best landscapes on the island.

10 minutes away we can find the town of Artá, which still conserves its rural and picturesque surroundings, where there are a few interesting visits on offer: La Almudaina, the Sant Salvador Sanctuary and the talayotic settlement of “Ses Paises” and its historic museum. Nearby we can also find the Bellpuig and Betlem Hermitages, with the latter being located upon a cliff.

Towards the west, we find the town of Can Picafort. Located in the middle of the Alcudia Bay, it is the perfect place for visitors. Here, we can see how Can Picafort has transformed from a small fishing village to a touristic village.

Nowadays, Can Picafort is a very popular village among tourists as it has a wide range of elements to be enjoyed: sun, beach, leisure, shopping, nature, etc.

The Son Real natural reserve is a short distance away, on the road that goes towards Can Picafort, and includes both old graveyards and an infinity of interesting animal species. This part of Mallorca has the largest number of old areas of interest on the island, with over 150 in the municipality of Santa Margalida alone.

A relatively short distance away we can also find the S’Albufera natural reserve, well-known on an international scope by bird watchers.

Activities at Son Serra de Marina

At Son Serra de Marina, everything is focused around outdoor sports. Specifically, the town is known for the practice of exciting adventure sports such as surfing, windsurfing, paragliding and kite surfing. You can also find sports such as horse riding, canyoning, speleology, kayaking and diving.

For those who enjoy hiking, there is nowhere better, as the routes that go towards Can Picafort, Son Real or the Betlem Hermitage offer us some spectacular views.

We also can’t forget about Rancho Grande, located a 2-minute drive away, that has been delighting visitors for over 50 years with horse riding excursions which are exclusive in Mallorca. There are various excursions to the beach, through the forest and walks on ponies or horses. Before or after any horse riding activities, you can visit the restaurant-grill or the small animal farm, as well as the children’s facilities. In addition, there is a range of Spanish shows, a horse and flamenco show and live music at the terrace.

Restaurants in Son Serra de Marina

150 metres away from the estate we can find the restaurant Cap Miraiet, where our customers can enjoy typical Mallorca cuisine with discounts on their visits.

In Son Serra de Marina there are 2 restaurants that stand out from the rest, practically on the same beach, which are “Sol” and “Lago”. These avail of great variety on their menus.
